What lies beyond the desire to be “pegged”?

This topic involves numerous layers, and I’ll do my best to present them concisely and precisely. As we know, there are three levels in the individual: the body, mind, and spirit. Let’s begin with the mind. Here, inheritance conditioning plays a role, where if a heterosexual man enjoys anal play, he’s labeled gay. Additionally, religious programming contributes to this, as sex is often perceived as solely for procreation, and most religions harbor latent homophobia. 

At the anatomical level, we have the prostate, which is designed to function as the “G-spot” capable of multiple orgasms. Consequently, a significant portion of the male population has not explored this part of themselves, or if they do, they feel ashamed.


At the spiritual level, we know this from ancient tantric traditions. They describe how sexual energy is coiled at the base of the spine as Shakti (primordial feminine energy). Awakening Shakti involves raising this energy up the spine to join Shiva in the crown, which is another way of describing sacred marriage within. Prostate massage, when done with intention and presence, can awaken Shakti.

The meeting point of this union is often experienced in the heart as bliss and a transcendence of ego. This is what many mystics from different traditions have experienced as ecstatic rapture, which is both erotic and sensual.
